[BETA] Classic 2-player Hotseat Game.. PONG!

Hi!

Recently I just posted about my latest game which is MangoMan (temporary name, maybe?) and I figured, why not post about my other game? it's already out there anyway, so I'll just promote it for even more people, right? Well, this game is actually 2 years old, but for the sake of this blog's resurrection, I'll post it here anyway.

As the title says, this game is still in development although I rarely touch it anymore, because all the mechanics are done and the gameplay basically not much, so it's just a matter of stability that makes it stuck in development stage for 2 (frickin') years. Regardless, if you have any suggestions about a feature this game missed, or criticism on how this game should be, feel free to leave a comment in the game's page!

You can now download all my games from my GameJolt account which is here, and you can also leave a comment, like the game, share to your friends, or even follow me for future updates!

Meet the MangoMan!

Hi!

It's been 2 years since I last posted in this blog and yes, I still remember it (barely), I'm not abandoning it (actually thinking about it), and I know it's kind of hard to believe but I AM actually busy (Yes, I'm working). So a little throwback to 2 years ago, I've been kept busy with my college, my work, my side jobs (I'm a freelancer too), and private projects (It's a surprise for later time). But now I've graduated from college and finally got many spare time to actually care for my other routines and pastimes so, here you go.. I posted (yet again) to tell you that I'm still alive, happy (hardly) and I finally realized that I still have a blogger account, so why not use it to blog (u don't say), and as a media to promote what I'm currently doing, which is making games independently (Yes, I'm officially an indie game dev). Also along the way, I could throw some review here and there in my (yet another) spare time after deciding to play a game that is long enough to question my whole life and abandon yet another pastime or routine just so that I can get THAT achievement (get a lyfe, lol).

Anyway, I'm just saying welcome back to my blog, and feel free to read my previous posts about games. Did you know that I make games too? Of course you know, right?
You don't know? Well, it's time for you to know that I've made a new game (if it was 2 years ago) that I've uploaded in my GameJolt page, you should check it out.

It's a simple platformer, and yes it's still not finished, so now that I finally have time to work on it, I'll updated the progress both in my blog and my GameJolt profile. The game is actually intended to be big, and hopefully unique unlike any other platformer game (if I were able to pull it off somehow). But feel free to try it out first. Remember, the game is currently in a development stage, so the mechanics, the anims, the sprites, the gameplay, all are heavily subjected to change and were suspected to occur any kind of anomalies, errors, incompatibilities, etc. (Even the characters are still prefabs made by Unity team as a free 2D pack)

The game is available on Windows and Android platforms!

Meet the CAPSULE BREAKER!!

Finally, after gone drown for a distant time, its time to make the oldschool resurfaces!
Meet the almighty CAPSULE BREAKER!!!

When the beta comes out, I honestly didn't have much time to continue on this game, and since then this game has been (not totally) left out. After being on BETA for quite a long time, the game finally moved to "Version 1.0".

Well, probably not so many of you excited about this, but here's the download :

Available for Microsoft Windows (64-bit & 32-bit)

Link : http://tusfiles.co.nz/d/30PSH (Tusfiles; Password : gameon)
Alternative download link : https://gamejolt.com/games/capsule-breaker/145227 (GameJolt)

For those who don't use or know GameJolt, its basically a social media for game developers, so you can preview my profile, download my games, like my games, comment on how it could be a better game, and finally you could share the game and also follow me if you like!

Introducing.. The Exit!

Hi, guys! It's me, yeah i'm still alive, duh!
And even better now, that I will publish my very first game for the very first time.

All these times I've spent my spare time learning a few game engine such as Unity and Construct 2 and already made a few small games and now... I'm ready to upload them for you.

Starting with my first game (actually its the second one, and the first one using Unity).
It is a first person horror game called... "The Exit".
It is somewhat similar to a very popular horror game a few years ago, Slender: The Eight Pages. I'm sure all of you have heard and played it. Even more, the engine I used for this game is the same engine and version that made Slender: The Eight Pages.

Its a very simple game that asks you to just find "The Exit".
And I admit it, you'll find something really odd, and even worse, you'll find it not scary.
That is exactly why I need you to just at least try this game and give it a comment. Anything would be helpful, if you think the ghost is not scary at all, give it a comment, or maybe you thought its a little less challenging, tell me. So basically, YOU are one of the testers. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a newbie to this whole "Game Development" thing, and I work alone, and even more, I only have my spare time to work on my game projects. But don't worry, the game is now on Version 1.0, thanks to good peoples on Facebook that have played my game. Thanks a lot!

Now, for the details of the game, it is currently available on 32-bit Windows OS, but I will add for 64-bit later when I can (I don't have a constant internet connection most of the time).
As for the system requirements, it doesn't need a GTX Titan Z, 64 GB DDR3 RAM, or Intel Core i7 to run this game. Most everyday laptop would handle it (turn low settings for a smoother experience), and even a 5 years old PC would do this game like a charm. Now for the size, its only about 13 MB. Yes, you're not wrong, IT IS 13 Megabytes. So whats the hold up? Download now!!!

To The Moon: Prepare your Feels™

To The Moon: Prepare your Feels™ thats what the game should be named. Why? Because it HITS you right in the feels. Actually, this is THE first game that makes me crying.. actually not crying, just.. sad(big lies).
Anyway, I finished the game twice but in the second ending I still got a teardrop from my eye ;_;
It's not so often I find games that impresses me or SURPRISES me at the second time, but this one is different. I really got myself into the well-driven story of the game. I don't care about people mocking me i'm a pussy for being sad because of a game. I really DON'T care! Those sons of *****es doesn't know how's it look like, when you play a game and you're really getting yourself into the game, you'll know it. No matter how tough you are, you will still took a LOT of hits in the feels. Actually, every games that I've played, I always pretending and getting myself into the game, to gain the atmosphere, to love the game itself, and to give myself my own experience.
Okay, enough chit-chat, I'm here to review the game anyway, so.. let's just start.

First things first, this game is made by Freebird Games, you may not so-familiar with this name, its an indie you know, the creator of The Mirror Lied and two others which I don't know the name c:
One thing you should know about this dev, Freebird Games always make sure their customers are satisfied with their game's story a.k.a. a great story-maker. Their games always good in story aspects, its perfect for gamers who doesn't have the graphics to bother them, because this game are made using RPG Maker XP, which gives the player a classic-themed looking graphics. Well thats should get you the point, the story of the game is so Amazing, Stunning, Jaw-dropping, Impressing, Well-driven, and.. what else? I dunno, its just PERFECT.
The controls are basically the same as the other small RPGs made by RPG Maker over the internet. You can use mouse as a navigating and look around and also interacting with things. Or, you can use your keyboard(in case your mouse has been eaten by your cat.. wait, what? nvm) to play instead.

What about the gameplay? the gameplay mechanics of this game is pretty simple, you just have to look around, searching for mementos(some kinda objective to finish a part of the memory), and then travel to the other's memory, its like playing god, you can change the fate of the man, but only in his memories, not in the real life, like some kind of suggestions or something like that.
So far, the only flaws I found in the game is its graphics, its not a big deal though, but I surely hope there'll be a remake of this game with HD version, but thats okay, as long as I can read the text, and understand everything's inside the game, its fine for me.
Oh, and one more thing, Kan R. Gao are really good at making the player got themselves into the game, he put a background music that matches the situation of the game currently running. That's really impressive. By the way, if you're getting this game on steam, I recommend you to get the one with the original soundtrack of the game, because its REALLY worth it.
A collaboration of a lady singer Laura Shigihara and a great instrument player Kan R. Gao really got myself deep-down into the game.

Well, I think that's all, and I hope you enjoyed it.
Happy gaming! :D

Then you can buy it right now, here, or you can try for an hour (trust me, you won't regret it).
And remember, put some tissue papers on your desk, 'cause you'll need it later ;_;
I'll review this game tomorrow, but now I need to rest, I've been through a LOT of hard time playing this game ;_;
